Solutions / Sales Engineer -Northeast

About the role:

As a Solutions Engineer, you'll be a core member of Salt Security's continued success. You'll partner with members of the Sales Team to drive all technical aspects of the sales process. This role is a unique opportunity to introduce a truly innovative solution to organizations that are in need of a new approach to securing their APIs.

What you'll do:
  • Deliver product presentations and demonstrations that illustrate how Salt's API security solution addresses the critical business issues that a prospect faces
  • Develop a strong working relationship with the customer's technical staff and earn their trust & credibility through your deep technical knowledge and subject matter expertise
  • Deliver strong "proof-of-value" engagements that demonstrate business value and technical benefits
  • Work closely with the Account Executives to align the technical requirements and the solution with the customer's business drivers to demonstrate our unique value
  • Coordinate and deliver RFP/I/Q responses and technical architecture solutions

What you should have:
  • 5 years of Presales experience selling security solutions
  • Understanding of APIs, API Gateways, microservices and cloud-native technologies
  • Hands-on experience with a broad set of technologies including, but not limited to, Kubernetes, AWS, Azure, and Load Balancers
  • Technical curiosity, including the willingness to learn new technologies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Willingness to travel within your region as required
