Solutions / Sales Engineer -NortheastAbout the role:As a Solutions Engineer, you'll be a core member of Salt Security's continued success. You'll partner with members of the Sales Team to drive all technical aspects of the sales process. This role is a unique opportunity to introduce a truly innovative solution to organizations that are in need of a new approach to securing their APIs.
What you'll do:- Deliver product presentations and demonstrations that illustrate how Salt's API security solution addresses the critical business issues that a prospect faces
- Develop a strong working relationship with the customer's technical staff and earn their trust & credibility through your deep technical knowledge and subject matter expertise
- Deliver strong "proof-of-value" engagements that demonstrate business value and technical benefits
- Work closely with the Account Executives to align the technical requirements and the solution with the customer's business drivers to demonstrate our unique value
- Coordinate and deliver RFP/I/Q responses and technical architecture solutions
What you should have:- 5 years of Presales experience selling security solutions
- Understanding of APIs, API Gateways, microservices and cloud-native technologies
- Hands-on experience with a broad set of technologies including, but not limited to, Kubernetes, AWS, Azure, and Load Balancers
- Technical curiosity, including the willingness to learn new technologies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Willingness to travel within your region as required
