Job Title: Solutions Director Work Location: 30000 Mill Creek, Alpharetta, GA 30022, USA Job Description: Work with the company's sales professionals to develop account-winning strategies by driving and managing the technology evaluation stage of the sales process and bringing new products to market. Provide product sales engineering support to successfully close deals, researching customer needs and defining technical and business solutions. Define solutions that provide key business value. Function as technical advisor to account managers and prospective clients during the solution identification, proposal, presentation, and negotiation phase, and articulate technology and product positioning to both business and technical users. Develop and deliver product demonstrations on requirements and translate market requirement knowledge into constructive inputs to guide corporate direction with respect to products and competitive sales positioning. Represent products to customers and respond to functional and technical elements of Requests for Information and Requests for Proposals. Develop customer documentation, including technical notes, whitepapers, presentations, and reference system architecture, and commission POC (Proof of Concepts) at customer locations. Convey customer requirements to Product Management teams, and work closely with Product Management and Development Teams to define product vision and message. Maintain a working knowledge of competitors' products and services and of emerging trends in the energy engineering industry. Apply experience working with utility and AMR operations to work with technologies and platforms for utility systems and applications. Design and architect customer IoT deployments in a cloud native and SaaS delivery model, and apply knowledge of security, risk, and control frameworks and standards. Work with OSI networking layers and Ethernet-based networks, such as TCP/IP, UDP, IP subnets and routing, and firewalls. Work with IP and RF network design and network management best practices and IP network management software applications. Provide technical support and design and develop solutions to complex applications problems, system administration issues, and network concerns utilizing Advanced Metering Infrastructure solutions. Implement and integrate system configurations, features, and services, and validate system quality. Domestic travel up to 50% to unanticipated client sites. SALARY: $165,000 - $175,000/ YEAR Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and five years of experience evaluating technology and market trends in the energy and utilities industry. Experience must include three years each of the following: assessing potential of proposed designs for electric distribution systems; developing and executing strategic technology plans for operational technology (OT) and IT convergence in utility environments; leading strategic planning, roadmap development, and execution for industrial digital transformation initiatives; assessing integration architectures and system designs for electric distribution networks, including substation automation, SCADA, and historian systems; delivering technical presentations to utility clients, internal stakeholders, and cross-functional engineering teams; product management including concept validation, requirements definition, and cross-functional coordination.
