The Role: Solutions ArchitectPresidio has an opportunity for a motivated, intelligent, and energetic individual to join our National PreSales team supporting our Vista customer base. As a Solutions Architect, you'll serve as a strategic pre-sales engineering resource focused on Cisco, enabling data center solutions from a market-leading technology provider. In this customer-facing role, you'll collaborate with customers, Account Managers, and fellow Solutions Architects to drive pipeline growth, deliver enablement, and help position innovative solutions.
Travel Requirements:This position requires occasional travel (few times/year). It will be based in any location in the United States.
Responsibilities include:- Act as a technical resource for Cisco-based solutions in pre-sales engagements
- Deliver solution overviews and enablement to internal teams and customers
- Contribute to the development of sales strategies and support customer-facing efforts
- Stay current with technology trends, products, and industry best practices through training, webinars, and collaboration with national practices
- Create Solution diagrams, collect & analyze requirements data from customers, and perform other PreSales activities in support of engineering initiatives
- Research technical issues, answer customer questions about products, technologies, solutions, and offerings from our OEM partners
- Ensure quality and consistency of pre-sales deliverables by following standardized processes and workflows
- Collaborate with other team members to provide solutions for Presidio's customers
- Work in a focused and directed manner to improve overall productivity & efficiency across Presidio's PreSales team
- Participate in meetings with customers and sales teams to collect technical requirements from Presidio customers and develop an appropriate technical solution
- Assist in resolving pre-sales challenges and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction
- Deliver client-facing status updates, presentations, and documentation throughout the sales cycle
- Work collaboratively with Presidio, Cisco, and other key teams to drive opportunities
- Assist in building and developing the Cisco sales pipeline by contributing to technical campaign support and go-to-market efforts
Required Skills:- Strong experience in Cisco UCS, Dell, and Pure (other storage vendors a plus)
- Basic knowledge of core networking, IP, subnetting, routing, VPN, DirectConnect, etc.
- Strong experience with virtualization (VMware vSphere, Nutanix)
- Working knowledge of most relevant operating systems (Windows Server, Red Hat Linux, etc.)
- Core understanding of storage technology fundamentals, including RAID, snapshots, deduplication, compression, encryption, SAN/NAS, NFS, iSCSI, etc.
- Strong passion for continuous learning, professional development, and emerging technologies
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly
- Proactive, self-driven mindset with a focus on customer success and collaboration
Additional Desired Skills:- Presales experience and/or experience working with a systems integrator
- AWS and/or Azure experience for hybrid cloud conversations
- Basic knowledge of Cisco Cloud and AI Infrastructure
- Basic knowledge of automation tools (Puppet, Ansible, vRealize, Terraform, etc.)
- Basic knowledge of container orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.)
- Basic understanding of observability tools (Splunk, Dynatrace, etc)
- Data Protection experience with Commvault, Rubrik, or Cohesity
- Enterprise Networking skillsets around Enterprise networking, wireless, and security
- Experience with Infrastructure configurations, Statement of Works, and/or contracts in an IT Services industry
Education and Experience: - Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and/or military experience
- 3+ years designing and implementing complex datacenter solutions
- 2+ years of experience working with mid-market and enterprise environments across multiple verticals
