Peraton is currently seeking to hire a Solutions Architect to become a member of their Federal Strategic Cyber Group. 

 

Location: Northern Virginia (On-Site) | Full-Time

 

Join a team at the forefront of protecting critical national security missions. We are seeking an experienced Solutions Architect to help shape and secure enterprise-scale environments supporting some of the Federal Government's most important cyber initiatives. This is a highly visible role where you will influence security strategy, architect innovative solutions, and collaborate with senior technical leaders to strengthen mission resilience against evolving threats.

 

What You'll Do: 

 

As a Solutions Architect, you will serve as a trusted technical leader responsible for designing and advancing enterprise security architectures that support complex Federal and national security environments.

 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Define, design, and evolve enterprise security architectures and cybersecurity solutions.
  • Partner with Application, Infrastructure, Cloud, and Data teams to implement secure, scalable, and resilient technologies.
  • Establish and maintain security standards, policies, frameworks, and technical guidance across the enterprise.
  • Lead security architecture reviews, risk assessments, compliance evaluations, and remediation efforts.
  • Develop and maintain Security Risk Management Plans aligned to mission objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend innovative security capabilities to enhance organizational security posture.
  • Author technical recommendations, architecture documentation, and executive-level briefings for stakeholders.
  • Support compliance with Federal cybersecurity frameworks and security regulations.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or other related scientific or technical discipline and a minimum of 14 years’ of relevant experience.
    • An additional 4 years of experience may be substituted in lieu of the bachelors degree requirement. 
  • Must either possess and maintain, or obtain prior to start date, one of the following professional certifications:• CISSP – Certified Information Systems Security Professional• Security+ – CompTIA Security+• Net+ – CompTIA Network+• A+ – CompTIA A+• MCP – Microsoft Certified Professional• MCSE – Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer• CCNA – Cisco Certified Network Associate• MCSA – Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate
  • U.S. citizenship required.
  • Active Secret security clearance.
    • Ability to obtain a final Top Secret security clearance.

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

 

  • Experience conducting industry and peer security reviews.
  • Demonstrated ability to author white papers, technical recommendations, or security architecture documentation.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to brief technical and executive audiences.
  • Prior experience in Federal or DoD cybersecurity programs.
  • CISM Certification
  • CCSP Certification
Target Salary Range$176,000 - $282,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
