Job Summary
We are seeking a Solution Architect (P&C, AWS) to lead the design and implementation of resilient, highly available cloud solutions supporting Property & Casualty (P&C) applications. This role combines strategic architecture leadership with hands-on technical expertise to drive resiliency reviews, establish reference architectures, and support modernization initiatives across policy and claims systems.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead full-stack resiliency and availability reviews across applications, data, and infrastructure.
• Design, develop, and enforce scalable, resilient reference architectures for cloud-based solutions.
• Review, execute, and enforce the Permit to Build (PTB) process with a focus on resiliency and availability.
• Ensure Property & Casualty policy solution blueprints align with enterprise and industry architecture standards.
• Design highly available, fault-tolerant, and resilient cloud-native solutions on AWS.
• Identify opportunities to improve architecture through automation and AI-driven capabilities.
• Mentor developers and engineers on architecture principles, cloud best practices, and resiliency patterns.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure end-to-end solution alignment across applications, infrastructure, and business requirements.
• Support modernization efforts for policy and claims platforms through architectural guidance and technical leadership.
• Contribute to architecture governance and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
• 3-5+ years of experience designing and implementing solutions on AWS public cloud.
• Strong domain expertise in Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance.
• Experience designing highly distributed, resilient, and highly available systems.
• Background in application engineering with hands-on Java development experience.
• Experience designing cloud-native architectures focused on resiliency, system hardening, and high availability.
• Experience balancing architecture leadership with hands-on technical responsibilities.
• Experience with OpenShift and containerized microservices.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence technical teams and stakeholders.
• Strong leadership, collaboration, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
• Associate-level Guidewire certification.
• Experience with Guidewire Insurance Suite, including domain models and policy administration.
• Experience leading enterprise architecture initiatives within the Property & Casualty insurance domain.
• Experience identifying and implementing automation and AI-driven architectural improvements.
