Overview/ Job Responsibilities

Position is contingent upon contract award and funding.

Entarian is seeking an experienced Software Test Engineer who will work closely with the development team to understand the project's objectives and requirements and design test cases. They will be responsible for assessing software quality through manual and automated testing and identify and report on any failures. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience working in large-scale technical environments involving space systems, ground infrastructure, mission operations, communications networks, or enterprise IT capabilities.

Key Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:
  • Develop and execute test plans for software applications, identify and document defects, and work with the development team to resolve issues.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to define and validate software requirements, functional specifications, and user stories.
  • Utilize common software testing tools such as Selenium, Nightwatch, Cypress, or GitLab to assist in the testing process.
  • Develop and maintain test cases and test scripts and execute them through automated testing tools as needed for unit, integration, functional, performance and security testing.
  • Test software applications across multiple devices and platforms, including mobile and web, and ensure each application meets its design requirements.
  • Perform regression, smoke, and exploratory testing to ensure any bug fixes do not break existing functionality.
  • Collaborate with the development team to review and update software documentation, including test plans, test cases, and user manuals.
  • Analyze and report overall test coverage and quality metrics, including identification of opportunities for process improvement.
  • Keep up-to-date with evolving testing procedures, tools, and methodologies to incorporate and continuously improve testing protocols.


Salary range: $112,000.00 - $140,000.00

Minimum Qualifications

  • Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline. (Equivalent experience may be considered.)
  • Minimum five (5) years Software Testing experience with a combination of the following skills:
    • Technology Analysis and Assessment experience
    • Requirements definition
    • Design, Definition, and Development of Systems Specification
    • Knowledge of Systems Analysis and Architecture and Software Development
    • Verification and Validation
    • Writing technical documentation, procedures and/or guidelines
    • Systems/Equipment Integration
    • Production Release or Installation
  • Good technical communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Power-Point, Excel, Project, and Outlook.
  • Ability to travel approximately 25% to support customer locations, mission partner engagements, and operational activities.
