Full Job Description
Job Purpose

This position supports the design, development, verification, and maintenance of custom software solutions that integrate engineering processes. The role applies technical knowledge to implement approved software approaches, contribute to tool and architecture discussions, and deliver solutions that improve the efficiency, quality, and capability of vehicle development and engineering workflows.

Key Accountabilities

  • Design, develop, verify, and maintain custom software used for engineering development processes.
  • Design and implement software integrations and data pipelines.
  • Maintain software development standards, verification methodologies, and technical documentation.
  • Support root-cause analysis to investigate and resolve technical issues across engineering function groups.
  • Collaborate with regional and global engineering teams.
  • Track assigned software development tasks and report progress against timelines.
  • Research emerging technologies/methodologies and share findings for consideration in business process improvements.


Qualifications, Experience, and Skills

  • B.S. in Computer Engineering or Computer Science, or equivalent job experience with software programming.
  • 0-6 years of relevant experience (research, project, or equivalent hands-on experience with software programming, data processing, automation, or engineering tools considered).
  • Office software such as PowerPoint, Excel, and Word. Scientific or domain-specific software such as CANalyzer, Jupyter Lab, Ansys, SimCenter, Scilab, and Matlab/Simulink. Programming languages including Python, C, and VBA. IT Networks, APIs, Agile workflow, and software validation.


Working Conditions

  • Majority of work will be office/PC related with no specific physical requirements.
  • 5-10hrs/week OT on occasion.
  • Japan travel (1x/yr) possible dependent on specific assignments.
