We're hiring an experienced
Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Engineer to provide software and hardware quality oversight throughout the development lifecycle for embedded aviation and military systems.
Responsibilities
- Perform software and hardware process audits across the development lifecycle.
- Review and approve engineering work products, release packages, and quality artifacts.
- Participate in technical reviews and present SQA findings and status reports.
- Audit supplier processes and deliverables for compliance.
- Monitor testing activities and verify quality, reliability, and program requirements.
- Partner with software, systems, test, and project teams.
- Mentor engineering teams on quality processes, standards, and compliance.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in software, systems, or quality engineering.
- Strong hands-on experience with RTCA DO-178C and its supplements.
- Experience with embedded aviation software development across the full lifecycle.
- Experience performing process and product audits.
- Strong understanding of software quality processes and compliance.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with DO-254 for airborne electronic hardware.
- Knowledge of RTCA DO-330 and software tool qualification.
- Experience with aviation/military development standards and regulatory requirements.
- Experience auditing supplier engineering processes and deliverables.
- Experience working across software, hardware, systems engineering, and test teams.
