Position OverviewAs a Software Engineering Manager within PNC's Technology organization, you will be based in Dallas, TX; Birmingham, AL or Pittsburgh, PA.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and develop a team of application support engineers and technical specialists.
Ensure availability, performance, resiliency, and operational stability of critical API platforms and backend services.
Drive Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management, and Production Readiness processes.
Lead major incident response efforts and coordinate resolution activities across multiple technology organizations.
Drive root cause analysis and corrective action plans to prevent recurring issues.
Partner with Software Engineering teams to improve service reliability, automation, observability, and operational maturity.
Support application releases and ensure operational readiness for new API capabilities and platform enhancements.
Monitor service health through dashboards, alerts, KPIs, SLAs, and SLOs.
Establish support procedures, runbooks, escalation paths, and operational controls.
Coordinate support activities across internal and external technology partners.
Support disaster recovery, business continuity, and resiliency testing initiatives.
Ensure compliance with enterprise security, audit, risk, and regulatory requirements.
Provide operational reporting and executive communications to technology and business leadership.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience supporting customer-facing digital banking platforms.
Experience with mobile banking ecosystems, including understanding of how mobile applications interact with backend APIs and services.
Familiarity with iOS and Android application architectures, mobile authentication flows, push notifications, and mobile release processes.
Experience supporting Cards, Payments, Wallets, or Digital Banking products.
Experience with vendor integrations and third-party API providers.
ITIL certification or equivalent operational management experience.
