Position OverviewAs a Software Engineering Manager within PNC's SRC First Response organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA, Cleveland, OH, Dallas, TX, Birmingham, AL, Phoenix, AZ or Denver, CO.
Provide after-hours operational leadership and on-call support. Participate in an on-call leadership rotation supporting critical production services, major incidents, and high-severity customer-impacting events. Availability outside standard business hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, may be required to support incident response, change events, escalations, and business continuity needs.
Travel occasionally for offsite meetings or other business-related activities (less than 5% travel)
Technical Skills & Expertise
Ideal candidates should have working knowledge or experience in at least three areas:
Core Technologies
• Programming/Runtime: Java, SQL, Tomcat, Websphere
• Databases: Oracle, SQL, Neo4J, Mongo (distributed) or DB2, VSAM (mainframe)
• Streaming/Event Platforms: Kafka
• Caching/Data Stores: Redis, ESS
• Operating Systems: Linux/Unix, Windows Server, could include Windows/Linus (distributed) or TCO/CICS (mainframe)
• Container Platforms: OpenShift (OCP)
Observability & Troubleshooting Tooling
• Experience using one or more of the following for monitoring, triage, and root cause analysis:
oDynatrace
oBigPanda
oElasticSearch
oGrafana
Candidates should be comfortable leveraging these tools to correlate events, analyze system behavior, and accelerate incident resolution.

• At least 5 years' experience leading teams with increasing levels of responsibility over time

Salaries may vary based on geographic location, market data and on individual skills, experience, and education. This role is incentive eligible with the payment based upon company, business and/or individual performance.
