JOB DESCRIPTION

DESCRIPTION:

Duties: Develop critical financial applications, ensuring seamless integration and minimal downtime. Develop and deploy web services to facilitate efficient database interactions in production environments. Design and implement new features and enhancements for financial applications, particularly focusing on Exotic Derivative and other financial products. Providing regular production support, the employee will troubleshoot and resolve technical issues to maintain smooth operations. Lead and participate in projects in different financial asset classes, coordinating with global teams to deliver key features and improvements. Work on proof-of-concept for pricing fixed income products and training new team members while providing mentorship. Ensure compliance with company policies and maintain accurate records for reporting purposes, while effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve common goals.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field of study plus 2 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, IT Consultant, Strategic Account Manager, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field of study plus 4 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, IT Consultant, Strategic Account Manager, or related occupation.

Skills Required: This position requires experience with the following: object-oriented programming languages and cloud technologies; database management with Rational and Object DBMS; developing and deploying web services; developing financial products applications and leading data migration projects, ensuring seamless integration and minimal downtime; utilizing production support, managing support rotas, and prioritizing debugging tasks; creating POCs, and coordinating with global teams; working with compliance processes, JIRA hygiene, Jet/CI-CD deployment guidelines, and Agile methodologies; using financial products such as Fixed income and exotic derivatives, along with QR modules and pricing standards; utilizing Unix operating systems to access and manage application files, analyze logs, and troubleshoot production issues to ensure application stability and reliability.

Full-Time. Salary: $160,805 - $185,000 per year.
