Software Engineer Lead eBiz

The Software Engineer Lead must have a solid understanding of and experience in the implementation of the basic elements and protocols of software engineering/programming while working with others, building an agile team, leading changes, understanding what to build, and planning ahead.

A great collaborator and a fast self-learner with great problem solving skills and troubleshooting skills, this role will be responsible to evaluate requirements and take complex problems to redefine them, re-scope them, and transform them into simple solutions.

Must keep team's progress visible, getting to "Done", and drive test and development through iterations to implement quality code. Listen to people, gather feedback, and deliver results. Drive changes with Retrospectives and make continuous improvements.

This role enhances the technical agility of Club Labs new product lines.

Job Duties
  • Design and develop advanced software applications. Build on one or more platforms which include but not limited to iOS, Android, and web apps. Communicate regularly and write clean code. Review, analyze and resolve application issues as needed. Evaluates strategies and makes recommendations on changes and improvements.
  • Supervise assigned team members on the design and implementation of new functionalities on the different platforms. Consult with other team members and implements solutions in-line with the departments' visions.
  • Continuously learn and keep up to date with emerging technologies to evaluate impact to business and member value.
  • Participate and provide feedback during planning meetings (i.e., pre-iteration, iteration, and retrospectives).
  • Position requires a high degree of independent decision making and problem solving skills.
  • Regularly makes decisions involving the direction of projects


Qualifications
  • Bachelors Computer and Information Science Preferred
  • 10+ years Implementing high performance, high availability, reliable, and secured software such as Java / Android, Objective C, front-end technology stacks, MS Web frameworks. Required
  • 1-3 years Supervisory Preferred
  • Strong communication skills and interest in a pair programming environment.
  • Strong team member who inspires, innovates, and delivers results to add values and make a difference.
  • Knowledge on how to implement and manage the APIs (Web Services) versioning.
  • User-centric /customer-centric focused, embrace Agile XP practice, and possess a learning mindset.
  • Excellent presentation and training skills.
  • Deep knowledge of Agile principles and practices and the ability to transfer that understanding at all levels of the organization.
  • Consulting and facilitation skills in leading technical teams in the adoption and improvement of Agile methodologies.
  • Senior Agile Leadership skills with an ability to lead by example and challenge command and control behaviors.
  • Constant monitoring and learning of new technologies and the market landscape.
  • Prior consulting or freelancing experience is a bonus.


Travel Requirements

  • Occasional travel to off-site business meetings or conferences. (5% proficiency)


The starting pay range for this position is:

$145,900.00 - $194,600.00
Additionally, for full time positions, you will be eligible to participate in our incentive program based upon the achievement of organization, team and personal performance.
