Software Engineer III

The Software Engineer III is a senior-level engineer responsible for designing, developing, and delivering complex software solutions that power AbsenceSoft's platform. This role requires deep technical expertise, sound architectural judgment, and the ability to operate with substantial autonomy across cross-functional initiatives. Working closely with product management and engineering leadership, the Software Engineer III drives technical strategy, elevates engineering standards, and shapes how teams build and scale software. This role also carries a meaningful mentorship responsibility, coaching junior and mid-level engineers and helping raise the bar across the broader team. The ideal candidate pairs strong technical craftsmanship with clear communication and a genuine passion for building resilient, scalable systems. Above all, we're looking for someone who thrives on solving hard problems and takes ownership of outcomes from design through delivery.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the design and development of complex software components and systems.

Final compensation is determined based on a candidate's relevant experience, skills, education, and geographic location. This position is also eligible for annual bonus.

The pay range for this role is:

155,200 - 194,000 USD per year (US National)

186,240 - 232,800 USD per year (US Very High)
