JOB PURPOSE

This role safeguards the integrity of the order lifecycle by providing secure, efficient processes for order creation, management, and fulfillment, while also maintaining accurate historical records that support operational excellence and informed decision-making. The architecture underpinning this work is guided by principles that include maintaining an immutable record of orders, ensuring scalability and high throughput to support growing order volumes, and promoting loose coupling to accommodate organizational transformation. It also relies on a highly distributed pub/sub model capable of supporting unlimited producers and consumers, strict event ordering to preserve data integrity, and replay capabilities that enable system recovery, feature development, and continuous improvement.

In this role, you will help build and evolve scalable enterprise solutions that power critical capabilities across Dick's Sporting Goods. Acts as a product-team problem solver and domain SME to design, test, and deliver best-in-class solutions. Perform business and software analysis and coordinates work of moderate complexity within the assigned data-focused product team. The ability to evaluate the current solution landscape and recommend continuous improvements to system design, scale, and performance will set you apart. You are eager to analyze business and software needs, collaborate across teams, and work cross-functionally to build a robust omnichannel data platform that powers tooling for business operations, athlete care, store operations, vendor operations, and future search and intelligence products for Dick's Sporting Goods.
