Full Job Description
The Software Engineer for Connectivity will be responsible for development of network connectivity infrastructure for the company's medical devices. Our devices, such as ExcelsiusGPS® surgical robot and Excelsius3D® imaging system, are trailblazing capital equipment used in operating rooms around the globe.

The candidate shall have strong software engineering skills, a generalist who can code in multiple programming languages. Understanding of operating systems internals, including Windows and Linux, is important.

The position requires efficient communication of important information and insights to business and product development leaders. The candidate shall be a team player with the ability to function well in a challenging and fast paced environment. Must be enthusiastic, positive, even tempered and have strong skills in areas of dependability, interpersonal relationships, flexibility and maturity.

Primary Responsibilities
• Design, implement and manage software connectivity features for Globus Medical products
• Conceive solutions to identified requirements
• Define business needs, including design requirements
• Implement software features
• Provide Business Development input when required
• Ensure efficient performance and scalability of solutions
• Understanding of an FDA design control environment (is a plus)
• Contribute to design, testing and documentation
• Support integration, internal testing, and external customers when presented with quality issues. Prioritize work to identify the root cause and create a corrective plan that ensures timely resolution of issues.
• Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.

Qualifications
• Bachelors in computer science or related Engineering field with more than 2 years of professional experience or (1 year experience with Masters)
• Strong experience in deployment of software engineering
• Strong problem-solving skills with an emphasis on product development
• Experience in scripting including PowerShell, Python, Batch, and Shell scripts
• Experience in rust, Go, C/C++, and TypeScript
• Excellent oral, written, and graphical communication skills
• Working knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office
• Ability to travel up to 5-10% of the time
