Job Description
Software engineers at Expedock are responsible for building the backbone of the products we build at the company. Engineers will be involved in backend web application development and data engineering work with a variety of languages and frameworks, notably Typescript, GraphQL, React, Python, Flask and Postgres. Engineers will work closely with our product and design teams to define feature specifications and build impactful products, have a high degree of ownership over the products that they help build, and spend their time on meaningful, interesting technical problems.
As a Software Engineer, you will:
- Develop and support software including applications, database integration, and new functionality enhancements
- Writing clean, high-quality, high-performance, maintainable code
- Architect software systems for new products/services in the company.
- Coordinate cross-functionally to insure project meets business objectives and compliance standards
- Support test and deployment of new products and features
- Participate in code reviews
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science (or related field) or equivalent work experience
- 1-4+ years of relevant work experience
- Fluency in Functional Programming
- Fluency in ReactJS
- Fluency in Python
- Fluency in Object Oriented and Database Design
- Fluency in Javascript (Typescript a plus)
- Fluency in server-side programming with modern web application frameworks
- Passion for writing clean, scalable code to solve challenging engineering problems
- Passion for driving the best business outcomes with the problems you solve
- Experience with Agile or Scrum software development methodologies a plus
