Software Engineer to join our team in
Aberdeen Proving Ground, MarylandPrimary Responsibilities:- Research, design, develop, implement, test, and evaluate software and systems that enable computers to perform their intended applications.
- Apply principles and techniques from computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis throughout the software-development life-cycle.
- Analyze software requirements and determine whether proposed designs are feasible within established time and cost constraints.
- Collaborate with hardware engineers and other technical professionals to evaluate hardware-software interfaces and overall system requirements.
- Design software systems using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure performance and design outcomes.
- Develop and oversee software testing procedures, programming activities, and technical documentation.
- Troubleshoot, maintain, and enhance existing software systems.
- Consult with customers regarding software-system performance, maintenance, and technical requirements.
- Coordinate software installation and integration activities when required.
- Work with cross-functional teams to support system performance, reliability, and successful integration.
Required Skills:- Five or more years of professional software development experience.
- Demonstrated ability to design, develop, test, and maintain software systems based on technical and operational requirements.
Desired Skills:- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in a related field
- DoD 8570 (IAT) Level II Security+ certification
Clearance Requirements- Active Secret with the ability to obtain TS-SCI.
The projected compensation range for this position is $160,000.00-$171,000.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
