Job DescriptionCOLSA Corporation is seeking a Software Engineer to join the COLSA Software Factory (CSF) who is excited about solving complex problems, delivering value, and making a meaningful impact on our processes and solutions.
While this is a remote position, candidates must currently reside within reasonable commuting distance (i.e., North/Central Alabama) of Huntsville, AL and be available to work on-site as needed.What You'll Do- Work directly with stakeholders to understand their workflows and needs.

- Participate in all aspects of the Agile Scrum process, including daily standups, sprint reviews with customers, and retrospectives.
- Produce design options and artifacts within the defined architecture and implement solutions using a modern technical stack.
- Develop and perform unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to merge code into mainline source control branches.
- Help establish new agentic development processes and technologies and lead the team toward increased adoption of both.
Required ExperienceRequired Experience- Bachelor's degree (or higher) in computer or electrical engineering, computer science, information systems, or another related technical field
- Minimum 5 years of relevant software engineering experience
- Must currently reside in reasonable commuting distance (i.e., North/Central Alabama) of Huntsville, AL and be available to work on-site as needed.
- U.S. Citizenship required; Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance
- Experience with the Vue client-side application framework.
- Experience with modern languages such as C#, Node, TypeScript, or JavaScript
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to lead developmental teams in architectural and implementation decisions.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience working on an Agile team using industry-standard management and collaboration tools such as Jira and GitHub.
- Experience working with agentic AI to enhance individual capabilities while maintaining a high level of quality in produced work.
- Experience using container technologies such as Docker
- Experience with database technologies such as Microsoft SQL Server
- Experience leading customer meetings/reviews/demonstrations with both internal team members and external customers or stakeholders (i.e. Agile sprint reviews)
