Are you passionate about using technology to improve manufacturing performance and asset reliability? We're looking for a Maintenance Engineer, Software Applications - Technical to help drive the deployment and support of maintenance and asset management systems across Corning's global manufacturing operations.
In this role, you'll work at the intersection of maintenance, manufacturing, and digital technology, helping connect data, systems, and teams to improve reliability, efficiency, and operational performance.
What you'll do- Support and enhance Corning's computerized maintenance and asset management platforms
- Help integrate technologies like IBM Maximo, AVEVA PI, IFM Moneo, SQL, Power BI, GitLab, and Databricks
- Partner with maintenance, manufacturing, IT, and OT teams to improve workflows and system performance
- Build dashboards and reporting that support key maintenance metrics like MTTR, MTBF, and PM compliance
- Contribute to projects tied to asset reliability, Manufacturing 4.0, and connected operations
- Provide user support, training, and documentation for maintenance system tools and processes
What we're looking for (Required)- Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field
- 0+ years' experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
- Knowledge of maintenance operations and familiarity with Industry 4.0
- Strong interest in manufacturing technology, system integration, and operational improvement
Preferred experience- IBM Maximo Application Suite or equivalent CMMS
- IFM Moneo and/or AVEVA PI historian
- SQL, Power BI, Databricks, and Microsoft tools
- OT/IT system integration, industrial networking, and data/reporting tools
- Supporting software deployments in manufacturing environments
Additional details- Location: Office-based in the Corning, NY area
- Some flexibility is needed to support system cutovers or critical events outside standard business hours
- Travel required: 25%+Primarily domestic, with occasional international travel possible

This position does not support immigration sponsorship. The range for this position is $70,065.00 - $96,340.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
