About the job

Chrome SWAN is responsible for making sure that the connections you use to connect to websites are secure from attackers. That means no one can eavesdrop, change your data, nor impersonate the sites you're connecting to.

We own every part of HTTPS in Chrome, from the low-level TLS protocol implementation up through through policy decisions like what organizations we trust to vouch for websites (we run the Chrome Root Program). We help transition the web to HTTPS by default. We even write new web standards, covering things like how the web will adapt to post-quantum cryptography.

SWAN is also part of Chrome's Security team, which means that we also help secure Chrome in other ways, including triaging security vulnerabilities, performing security reviews of other teams' features, and more.

Chrome is dedicated to building a better, more open web. We're focused on making a better browser (on both desktop and mobile) to help users take advantage of all the web has to offer in a safe and secure way.Chrome is available across all major platforms - iOS, Android, Windows, Mac, Linux and Chrome OS. We also built Chrome as an open source project so the entire web ecosystem could benefit from the latest innovations in speed, simplicity and security.
Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $147000 - $210000 (USD) 15% bonus target equity benefits
