POSITION SUMMARY:We are seeking Software Engineers to join our pioneering team at INK. INK is looking to provide an environment for artists to produce animated content by experimenting with a range of tools and production pipelines that leverage AI. This role will help build enterprise-wise technology and platforms that support INK's artist-led production environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesHelp build enterprise-wise technology and platforms for INK to support scalable GenAI-native production across shows.
To support artists and technical directors on shows, evaluate internal and external algo developments in the context of creative requirements. Package successful workflows for use by other artists across the studio.
In collaboration with Netflix infrastructure teams, help define artist distributed compute and workstation requirements. Ensure proper API support for Technical Directors to customize per-show or craft last mile integration.
Prototype and test new workflows in real production scenarios, gather feedback from artists, and iterate to improve usability and performance.
Establish and maintain studio standards around generated assets and materials from the artists. Develop and maintain tools for artists that navigate and manage generated materials.
Maintain the studio production tracking and review toolset. Enable tooling that ensures standardized workflows across productions.
Support Technical Directors and Artists with development and tooling. Provide tooling around common show environment and standardization and, where appropriate, APIs to Technical Directors to integrate show-specific solutions.
Provide infrastructure monitoring tools and reports detailing HW and SW usage.
Collaborate with infrastructure and security teams to ensure systems are reliable, secure, and compliant across projects and use-cases
Qualifications10+ years of software engineering experience, particularly within animation studios and pipelines.
Working knowledge of scalable inference and training technologies. But more importantly, demonstrated ability to stay current with the highly dynamic and changing landscape of tools.
Ability to identify common workflow needs and requirements and develop standardized solutions that scale to multiple shows.
Familiarity with modern and emerging software development technologies (e.g. Claude Code) and the ability to develop and integrate scalable workflows that leverage Netflix internal solutions.
Excellent communication skills and ability to translate show-based solutions into common deployable workflows.
Familiarity with the complexities of building and maintaining secure systems that manage multiple show working environments.

At INK, we carefully consider a wide range of compensation factors to determine your compensation. We rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, location, skills, and experience. The overall market range for this role is typically $388,000 - $515,500. This reflects total compensation; we do not have bonuses.
Depending on whether you are covered by a collective bargaining agreement, INK benefits can include medical/dental/vision plans, mental health support, retirement programs, and family-forming benefits, paid leave of absence programs, and paid time away programs to be used for vacation and sick paid time off.
