POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking Software Engineers to join our pioneering team at INK.  INK is looking to provide an environment for artists to produce animated content by experimenting with a range of tools and production pipelines that leverage AI. This role will help build enterprise-wise technology and platforms that support INK's artist-led production environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Help build enterprise-wise technology and platforms for INK to support scalable GenAI-native production across shows.

  • To support artists and technical directors on shows, evaluate internal and external algo developments in the context of creative requirements. Package successful workflows for use by other artists across the studio.

  • In collaboration with Netflix infrastructure teams, help define artist distributed compute and workstation requirements. Ensure proper API support for Technical Directors to customize per-show or craft last mile integration.

  • Prototype and test new workflows in real production scenarios, gather feedback from artists, and iterate to improve usability and performance.

  • Establish and maintain studio standards around generated assets and materials from the artists. Develop and maintain tools for artists that navigate and manage generated materials.

  • Maintain the studio production tracking and review toolset. Enable tooling that ensures standardized workflows across productions.

  • Support Technical Directors and Artists with development and tooling. Provide tooling around common show environment and standardization and, where appropriate, APIs to Technical Directors to integrate show-specific solutions.

  • Provide infrastructure monitoring tools and reports detailing HW and SW usage.

  • Collaborate with infrastructure and security teams to ensure systems are reliable, secure, and compliant across projects and use-cases

Qualifications
  • 10+ years of software engineering experience, particularly within animation studios and pipelines.

  • Working knowledge of scalable inference and training technologies. But more importantly, demonstrated ability to stay current with the highly dynamic and changing landscape of tools.

  • Ability to identify common workflow needs and requirements and develop standardized solutions that scale to multiple shows.

  • Familiarity with modern and emerging software development technologies (e.g. Claude Code) and the ability to develop and integrate scalable workflows that leverage Netflix internal solutions.

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to translate show-based solutions into common deployable workflows.

  • Familiarity with the complexities of building and maintaining secure systems that manage multiple show working environments.
