Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Senior Software Manager to lead the Ingestion team in the Networking organization. In this role, you will be responsible for improving and scaling Networking application that consumes Network Engineer's intent and produces a stateful representation of physical network that will be used to build, expand and operate regions to physically create datacenters. You will lead a high-caliber team, ensuring the achievement of key objectives through exemplary leadership, talent development, and resource optimization. This position demands a seasoned professional who embodies OCI values and can navigate complex challenges to deliver exceptional outcomes.

As a Senior Manager in OCI, you will provide leadership to a dedicated team tasked with overseeing the modeling and layout configurations within OCI. Your role will involve ensuring that the team's objectives are consistently aligned with the broader organizational goals, maintaining a strategic focus on long-term stability and scalability, support for new product intake. By fostering a high-performance culture, you will mentor and develop team members, creating an environment that encourages continuous learning and professional growth.

In addition to your leadership duties, you will play a pivotal role in talent development within the team. You will lead by example in identifying and nurturing talent, engaging in regular career development discussions, and offering strategic guidance to support the professional growth of each team member. Responsibilities

As a member of the OCI software engineering division, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures of the network expansion in new sites/regions. You will be responsible for leading software development team that will manage design and development of Cabling manifest, automation from procurement through deployment. As a Software Development Sr manager, you will:
  • Lead a high-performance engineering team
  • Identify, recruit and retain top software engineering and cloud talent
  • Own your service from design through implementation to ongoing operations
  • Create effective project plans working with product leadership and your technical team
  • Manage 24x7 operational support on your team's no-downtime architecture
  • Build relationships with other OCI service leads to drive effective integrations and escalations


Qualifications:
  • A BS or MS degree in a relevant field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in people management, with a proven track record in managing large-scale critical service.
  • Demonstrated expertise in cloud engineering, networking, and distributed systems
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and recruit very strong engineering talent
  • Sustainably scale systems through tooling and automation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information in a clear, concise manner to all audiences including senior leadership
  • Results driven; thrives in a development environment that is agile, collaborative, and in start-up mode, even when faced with ambiguity and competing priorities

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $133,100 to $306,400 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.

10. Paid sick leave: 72 hours of paid sick leave upon date of hire. Refreshes each calendar year. Unused balance will carry over each year up to a maximum cap of 112 hours.
