Full Job Description
Work Schedule

This is a full-time, exempt (salaried) position assigned to a First Shift schedule, with standard business hours of Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in EDT time zone. Business needs may occasionally require flexibility in work hours, including earlier, later, or additional hours, with reasonable notice provided when possible.

Applicants who live within 35 miles of either the Burlington, NC or Durham, NC location will follow a hybrid schedule. This schedule includes a minimum of three in-office days per week at an assigned location, either Burlington or Durham, supporting both collaboration and flexibility.

Responsibilities
  • Have ownership mindset and lead software development projects from conception to deployment and support including design, architecture, implementation and monitoring
  • Conduct code reviews, ensuring quality standards and best practices are followed
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions
  • Proactive self-starter in identifying and resolving technical challenges, troubleshooting complex issues
  • Contribute to the overall architecture and technology roadmap
  • Collaborate with members on projects that include the product or platform and stakeholder teams.
  • Deliver the team's goals on time and with high quality.
  • Understands the business context and how it intersects with the team's goals.
  • Consistently write code that is flexible, reusable, efficient, and adaptable.


Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 3 or more years of software development experience.


Preferred Requirements
  • 1 or more years of experience building agentic AI workflows and multi-agent systems to automate complex solutions.
  • 1 or more years of experience working with kubernetes, container orchestration, cache systems (e.g. Redis), message queuing systems (RMQ/Kafka/SQS), workflow orchestrators (e.g. Nextflow), storage options and types (NAS, NFS, S3, S3 bucket).
  • 3 or more years of experience building scalable systems using public cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
  • 3 or more years of experience in building and enhancing continuous integration (CI) and continuous deployment (CD).
  • 1 or more years of experience building and working with microservices.
  • 3 or more years of experience working with Agile development methodologies and practices.
  • 3 or more years of experience in designing systems and APIs that are maintainable, debuggable, and observable.

  • Expertise in Python or high-level, interpreted, object-oriented programming language.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality maintainable code.

Pay Range: $110,000 - 150,000 annually

All job offers will be based on a candidate's skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees / certifications, as well as internal equity and market data. The position is also eligible for an annual bonus under the Labcorp Bonus Plan. Bonuses are payable based on corporate and/or business segment performance and are subject to individual performance modifiers.
