Full Job Description
The Opportunity

The Assets and Collaboration pillar builds core capabilities in Adobe Express that help people build, coordinate, reuse, and collaborate on content. Our work spans asset management, brand consistency, reusable design systems, and shared creative workflows.

Within this group, the Adobe Express Branding team helps people build content that consistently reflects their brand. We develop tools that understand a brand's identity and make its colors, fonts, assets, and design elements readily available while people build.

You'll resolve engineering tasks across web applications, services, and AI-enhanced experiences for customers ranging from small businesses to large organizations. It's an exciting time to influence how AI can improve interactions with brands in Adobe Express!

What You'll Do
  • You'll build and deliver customer-facing features for branding, asset management, and collaboration. These include automated brand extraction, on-brand defaults, reusable design elements, and applying brand styles across content.
  • A key part of the role is developing AI and LLM-powered experiences. You will explore different approaches and test them using real use cases. You will also establish methods to measure output quality through structured outputs, validation, evaluation datasets, and metrics.
  • You'll own projects from technical development through implementation, testing, deployment, and post-launch improvements. You'll collaborate with engineers, designers, researchers, and product managers to make technical and product decisions.
  • You'll also contribute to frontend and backend architecture, review code, assess new ideas, and help operate the services you develop. Performance, reliability, security, privacy, and maintainability are important parts of the work, particularly for enterprise customers.

What You Need to Succeed
  • We're looking for someone with 5+ years of software development experience building and shipping production web applications.
  • Strong frontend engineering skills are important, including TypeScript, modern JavaScript (ES6+), React, and Web Components, along with technologies such as Node.js and npm. Familiarity with MobX or LitElement is useful.
  • You should understand modern browsers and web applications beyond the framework level, including browser APIs, JavaScript engines, rendering, Shadow DOM, Service Workers, CDNs, CSS, and web performance. Experience crafting or owning backend services using Node.js, Java, or similar technologies is valuable.

AI and LLM Development
  • You should have hands-on experience developing or integrating AI or LLM-powered features in production and understand how to make these capabilities measurable and dependable.
  • Useful knowledge includes timely engineering, structured outputs, context management, output validation, LLM evaluation methods, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG). You should be comfortable experimenting, identifying failure cases, interpreting results, and communicating technical uncertainty.
  • Turning promising AI ideas into dependable customer experiences is an important part of this role!

Working With Customers and Teams
  • You'll collaborate with product managers, designers, researchers, engineers, and groups supporting enterprise customers. Clear communication and the ability to explain technical tradeoffs are important.
  • We value engineers who can make practical decisions involving security, privacy, performance, brand governance, and delivery risk while keeping customer needs in focus.
  • If you enjoy combining web engineering with practical AI development and want to make branding easier for creators and organizations, we'd love to hear from you!
