Full Job Description
GO Systems, within Product and Regulatory Operations (PRO), comprises a technically-minded team working to develop and execute a strategy for unified, interoperable infrastructure across Global Operations (GO). GO Systems enables production workflow maturity within the tooling dimension for GO by identifying appropriate tooling strategies to solve business problems and partnering with key engineering partners to execute against those strategies. We are looking for a full-time engineering leader to join our Systems team to build, scale and mature our tech stack by implementing new features and last mile code changes, removing engineering bottlenecks across our various products. As a Systems Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for managing a high-quality team of software developers across North America.
Responsibilities
Be both highly technical and an effective people manager by leading a team of engineers
• Extend our platforms and internal systems by building workflows and high-quality tools that enable Operations to scale
• Measure the impact of your team and set clear expectations and goals
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to both your team members and your project peers
• Use software engineering skill sets to drive meaningful business impact by looking at problems through an operational lens
• Business case development to support new and improved processes for consumers, businesses and partners that leverage our products
• Work with cross functional teams to deliver high impact results
• Actively own and drive the team's professional development
• Communicate and collaborate cross-functionally to align priorities with stakeholders across the family of Apps and influence organizational roadmaps
• Gather, analyze and utilize relevant data to develop ways to improve the overall support experience
• Drive our AI transformation across Global Operations
• Code using primarily PHP/Hack/Python and JavaScript/React
Minimum Qualifications
• BA / BSc degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related field or international equivalent
• 10+ years of experience in Software Development
• 2+ years experience as a tech lead or as an engineering manager
• Have a technical background and proven management experience leading high calibre teams
• Experience with creating and debugging code
• Analytical-thinking and problem-solving experience
• Experience working across a global multicultural and multilingual team, solving problems and designing business operations from scratch
Preferred Qualifications
• Software engineering experience in React, GraphQL, Relay or similar technologies
• Experience with AI technologies
• Experience with scrum and agile methodologies in delivering roadmaps
• Communicate and collaborate cross-functionally to align priorities with stakeholders across the family of Apps and influence organizational roadmaps
• Experience with internal tool development incorporating WFM knowledge and bug management
• Experience with customer support/operations software-oriented projects
• Knowledgeable in driving solutions for global operational teams
• Experience with process change management or process improvement
• Experience working in a technology company, consulting firm or equivalent productive environment
