Full Job Description
Software Developer/Mainframe Modernization for a hybrid opportunity for candidates in Columbia, SC. The Candidate will contribute to the development, support, and modernization of enterprise applications while working with both contemporary development technologies and established enterprise systems. This role is well-suited for a developer who enjoys learning new technologies, collaborating across teams, and supporting long-term application transformation initiatives.

Required Qualifications of the Software Developer / Mainframe Modernization:
  • Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to provide sponsorship or work with Third-Party agencies.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field; equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in application development, systems testing, application support, or related information technology functions.
  • Hands-on experience with distributed application technologies including JavaScript, Node.js, Vue.js, Python, MongoDB, Git, Jenkins, and Visual Studio Code.
  • Experience working within Agile software development environments and participating in Agile ceremonies.
  • Knowledge of software development lifecycle methodologies, testing practices, and deployment processes.
  • Experience troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving application and system issues.
  • Ability to develop, maintain, and support enterprise applications in a collaborative team environment.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively across technical and business teams.

Preferred Skills/Experience of the Software Developer/Mainframe Modernization:
  • Interest in learning and supporting enterprise mainframe technologies.
  • Exposure to application modernization, digital transformation, or legacy system migration initiatives.
  • Experience working across both distributed and legacy technology platforms.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and automated deployment processes.
  • Understanding of enterprise system integrations and hybrid technology environments.
