Overview

As a Social Strategy Director, you will lead strategic thinking across clients' social and content

ecosystems, bringing a strong point of view on culture, consumers, platforms, and the evolving

digital landscape. You'll independently lead strategic assignments and serve as a trusted partner

to creative, account, production, and client teams, from brief through execution.

Publicis Production is redefining how clients embrace "agile content" to better connect with

digital and social audiences. Our agile department spans data-driven digital content across social,

programmatic, platform partnerships, and more.

Our strategists combine content and social strategy with creative leadership, client relationships,

and close partnership with in-house creatives and external creators to develop fit-for-platform

content that is experimental, relevant, and informed. This role may also include concepting,

creating, capturing, and appearing in social content for clients.

Our content strategy offering moves at the speed of social - from shepherding always-on social

presence and consulting on digital/social extensions to major TVC campaigns, to building

partnerships with social platform creators. No two days are alike, and we aim to put innovation

and experimentation at the center of our growth.

Responsibilities
• Lead Strategic Brief Development: Own strategic and creative briefs, translating

business objectives, consumer and category tensions, research, and insights into clear,

actionable creative direction.
• Lead Cross-Functional Partnerships: Build strong relationships across strategy, creative, account, production, media, and other agency partners. Lead collaboration and ensure strategy meaningfully shapes the work.
• Drive Category & Consumer Expertise: Develop deep knowledge of clients, consumers, shoppers, and categories, using curiosity and strategic thinking to identify opportunities to influence behavior and solve business challenges.
• Champion Social-First Strategy: Apply deep knowledge of social platforms, digital

behaviors, creators, and emerging formats to develop culturally relevant, platform native strategies.
• Lead Thought Leadership: Stay ahead of trends, cultural movements, consumer shifts,

emerging technologies, and competitive challenges.
• Lead POVs, competitive audits, trend reports, and other thought leadership that reinforces Publicis Production's expertise.
• Lead Research & Data Strategy: Design and oversee qualitative and quantitative

research, leveraging internal resources, third-party tools, social listening, and vendors to translate data into actionable insights.
• Turn Insights Into Action: Synthesize research, data, and cultural signals into compelling strategic narratives that identify opportunities and inspire stronger creative work.
• Own Client Relationships: Serve as a trusted strategic partner, leading client

conversations and presentations, articulating recommendations, and constructively

challenging thinking when appropriate.
• Lead Creative Collaboration: Partner with creative teams from brief through execution,

providing strategic guidance and constructive feedback that pushes work into more

relevant, distinctive, and effective territory.
• Mentor & Drive Innovation: Develop junior strategists while championing new

approaches, AI, emerging technologies, and innovative ways of working that elevate the

quality and effectiveness of our social and content offering.

Qualifications
• Lead compelling client-facing work across research, strategy, best practices, and

thought leadership, independently driving projects from initial question through

recommendation.
• Manage multiple clients, priorities, and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment while

maintaining a high standard of strategic and creative output.
• Demonstrate expertise across content strategy, including proactive, always-on, real-

time, reactive, and culturally relevant opportunities.
• Identify opportunities to add strategic value through research, training, new offerings,

emerging capabilities, and innovative approaches to client challenges.
• Own strong creative briefs that translate business objectives, consumer insights, cultural

trends, and strategic opportunities into inspiring creative direction.
• Lead cross-functional collaboration with creative, account, project management,

production, media, and other partners, effectively influencing teams and integrating

strategy throughout the process.
• Independently lead complex client projects and workstreams, proactively identifying

risks, opportunities, and ways to elevate the work.
• Lead client and team meetings with confidence, presenting recommendations,

facilitating discussion, and serving as a trusted strategic voice.
• Demonstrate strong cultural, competitive, and platform fluency, with a deep

understanding of audience behaviors, emerging formats, creator ecosystems, and best

practices across key social channels.
• Build trusted client relationships and mentor talent, demonstrating the judgment to

challenge thinking, influence decisions, provide strategic counsel, and elevate the

capabilities of other strategists.
• Demonstrate strong strategic storytelling and presentation skills, distilling complex

research, data, and insights into clear, compelling narratives for internal and external

audiences.
• Embrace AI and emerging technologies, exploring how new tools can enhance strategy,
