SOAR Engineer

The Opportunity:

As acyber SIEM and SOARengineeron our team,youllbeintegral to architecting, deploying, andoperatingsecurity solutions across variousDoDclientsin the Indo-Pacific. Youlluse your extensive knowledge ofcybersecurity tools andplatformstomonitor,detect,and respondtopotentially malicious cyber behavior that could compromise data,systems,or the mission.

On our team, youll create standard operating procedures and configurations for optimal Zero Trust security posture.Youll optimizeautomation speed event review and resolution with analysts,engineers,and administrators.Youll coordinate with a multi-discipline Zero Trust engineering team to recommendenhanced design and operations.Youbuild the operational playbook andmentor the next set ofadvanced cybersecurityengineersto help them grow intoour nationsfront line of defense.

You Have:

  • 3+ years of experience designing, deploying, and configuring security solutions
  • Experience withSIEM toolsfor visibility andanalytics, including Elastic
  • Experience with SOAR tools, including Palo Alto, Splunk, or Tines
  • Experience with cyber event analyticsand workflow
  • Experience documenting and diagraming workflow processes
  • Knowledge of scan capabilities, assets management visibility, and patch management systems
  • Secret clearance
  • HS diploma or GED

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with operating systems, including Linux, networking,cloud,and containers
  • Experience with Red Team activities
  • Experience working in federal, DoD, or IC agency environments
  • Experience managing andmaintainingcontainerization solutions
  • Knowledge ofendpoint detection and response (EDR) capabilities
  • Knowledge ofTorq, Microsoft SentinelAutomation, or Cortex
  • Knowledge of security engineering or cloud security
  • Knowledge of federal information security policies, standards, procedures, directives, and frameworks, federal security authorizations, assessment, and risk management processes for enterprise systems
  • Top Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree inan IT, Cybersecurity, or Engineering field

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individuals particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,900.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allens total compensation package for employees.
