We are seeking a Snyder Garage Collection Department Manager to manage and supervise our performance automotive team in Baldwin Park, CA*. The Snyder Garage Collection Department Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, management, and strategic direction of The Flying Dutchman Race Team and car collection. This position oversees the maintenance, transportation, safety, performance, and readiness of all race vehicles, support equipment, and fleet personnel. This leader will ensure that Snyder Collection assets are maintained to the highest standards of safety, reliability, and performance.
This role is ideal for a motivated leader with a strong background in fleet operations, motorsports, automotive maintenance, and team development. *Position currently in Baldwin Park, CA, but will move to Franklin, TN summer 2027
General Responsibilities
• Lead and develop a team of mechanics, technicians, and support staff.
• Oversee the maintenance, repair, and lifecycle management of race support and vehicles.
• Establish preventive maintenance programs that maximize vehicle uptime and operational efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local transportation, environmental, and safety regulations.
• Develop and manage department budgets, forecasts, and capital expenditures.
• Analyze cars performance metrics and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Partner with internal departments to support operational needs and fleet utilization strategies.
• Manage relationships with Family, vendors, suppliers, manufacturers, and service providers.
• Evaluate new technologies, equipment, and maintenance practices to enhance fleet operations.
• Lead emergency response and vehicle recovery efforts when necessary.
• Maintain detailed records, reporting systems, and documentation related to fleet activities.
• Champion a culture of safety, service excellence, and operational integrity.

• Office location: Baldwin Park, CA. Position will move to Franklin, TN summer 2027
• Pay Range is $144,911 - $181,000 annually
The above represents the expected pay range for this job requisition. Ultimately, in determining your pay, we will consider your experience and other job-related factors.
• Travel: Evenings, weekends, and travel when race schedules require

Qualifications
Required
• Minimum of 3-7 years of experience in team management, motorsports operations, automotive maintenance, or a related field
• Experience with classic cars and working on engines and more
• Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance programs, fleet operations, and transportation logistics
• Experience working with a race crew or be a driver themselves
• Experience managing budgets, vendor contracts, and operational planning
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and fleet management software systems
Preferred
• Bachelor's degree in Automotive Technology, Engineering, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience
• Experience supporting professional motorsports or high-performance vehicle programs
• ASE Master Technician certification or equivalent industry credentials
• Experience with telematics, performance analytics, and fleet tracking technology
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and vehicle compliance requirements
