Full Job Description
Role Summary

The Snowflake Administrator Senior manages and optimizes Associated Bank's Snowflake data platform to support secure, reliable, and scalable data operations. This role oversees platform access, performance, automation, security, and resource management while partnering with technology and data teams. You'll have opportunities to strengthen the platform, introduce new capabilities, and help shape best practices across the organization.

Key Accountabilities
  • Manage Snowflake accounts, user access, roles, privileges, and security configurations.
  • Optimize platform performance, query execution, resource allocation, capacity, and costs.
  • Automate routine platform activities, including schema creation, access provisioning, and account-level object management.
  • Partner with data engineers, architects, and analysts to integrate Snowflake with data systems and applications.
  • Enforce security, encryption, compliance, and data protection requirements across the Snowflake environment.
  • Diagnose and resolve Snowflake infrastructure, data pipeline, and integration issues.
  • Maintain detailed documentation and provide training and support on Snowflake best practices and new features.
  • Support disaster recovery planning and new feature enablement in partnership with vendors, Information Technology, and Security teams.


Education & Experience

Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years of Information Technology experience.
  • 3+ years of experience administering and managing the Snowflake data platform.
  • 0+ years of experience with DevOps or automation tools such as Terraform, PowerShell, or Python.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a team.

Preferred
  • Deep understanding of Snowflake architecture, capabilities, and best practices.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP and services relevant to Snowflake.
  • Proficiency with SQL.
  • Experience with Snowflake certifications such as SnowPro Core or SnowPro Advanced.
  • Experience with Snowflake resource optimization, cost management, automation, and disaster recovery.
