We are searching for a candidate with an outstanding research record to serve as the Director of Clinical Training in our Psychological Clinical Science Ph.D. program. Our APA accredited program is a member of the Academy of Psychological Clinical Science. Accreditation by the Psychological Clinical Science Accreditation System (PCSAS) is a goal of our program. Candidates also must be committed to excellence in teaching and mentoring at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, and a track record of having mentored psychological clinical scientists.

The Department of Psychology runs a training clinic, which can be used for research in assessment and treatment. The University is entering an important period of growth and strategic development under new leadership, with a renewed institutional agenda focused on research excellence, interdisciplinary collaboration, innovation, and academic distinction. This creates a particularly exciting environment for new faculty to contribute to and help shape the next phase of SMU's academic and research trajectory. The Moody School of Graduate and Advanced Studies offers many forms of support for doctoral students, including a range of research fellowships. SMU is also home to one of the fastest and most powerful academic supercomputers in the nation (ManeFrame III), which can handle large volumes of complex data as well as the ability to implement advanced algorithms for time-series analysis, data mining, computational modeling, AI, and machine learning.
