ResponsibilitiesPeraton Labs is seeking a workflow engineer to design and build the reusable analytical workflows and skill library to invoke complex, multi-step analyses through simple commands within a generative AI-powered analytical platform. This role translates analytical processes into automated, repeatable workflows that chain multiple generative AI workers and data sources together.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement the skill libraries into domain-specific analytical commands
- Build multi-step analytical workflows that orchestrate multiple generative AI
- Design knowledge base templates for program-specific contexts that scope analytical capabilities to individual programs
- Develop workflow templates for standardized deliverables
- Implement workflow versioning, parameterization, and error handling
- Build workflow testing and validation frameworks
- Gather user feedback to iteratively improve skill designs and workflow efficiency
- Document all skills and workflows for the knowledge base
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience with a Bachelor's degree, 3+ years with a Master's degree, or a PhD in Computer Science or related field
- Experience with Software Engineering in professional/production environments
- Strong Python proficiency; experience with workflow orchestration or automation frameworks
- Understanding of LLM prompt engineering and chain-of-thought design
- Experience with template engines and document generation
- Strong UX sensibility — ability to design intuitive command interfaces
- Experience with API integration and multi-service orchestration
- Excellent documentation and communication skills
- US Citizenship with the ability to obtain/maintain a Secret clearance
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with generative AI workflow frameworks and knowledge base systems
- Experience with no-code/low-code workflow builders
Target Salary Range$104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
