ResponsibilitiesPeraton requires Systems Engineers to support the Special Operation Command Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) – 3. Positions arelocatedat the SOCOM Headquarters at MacDill, AFB FL, and at the TSOC and Component locations in the United States and abroad. This position islocatedat MacDill AFB.
The purpose of the Special Operations Forces Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) 3 Enterprise Operations and Maintenance (EOM) Task Order (TO) is to provide USSOCOM, its Component Commands, its Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs), and its deployed forces with Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services to maintain Network Operations (NetOps); maintain systems and network infrastructure; provide end user and common device support; provide configuration, change, license, and asset management; conduct training, and perform Install, Move, Add, Change (IMACs) services. The responsibilities and tasks associated with each requirement play a pivotal role to USSOCOM, the CIO/J6 organization, andultimately theend-user whooperatearound the globe 24x7x365.
Systems Engineers perform engineering level supportin accordance withthe SIE OPORD. In addition to in-depth technical knowledge of the Governmentssoftwareandhardware, SystemsEngineers need advanced analytical, troubleshooting and design skills. The ability to communicatewith technical and non-technical users also is essential. Systems Engineers must be familiar withthe systems engineering process and data asafundamentalbuilding block for performanceimprovement. Participation in working groups,designreviewsand system tests arerequired. Thisposition will help generate assessments, aswellasdevelopand implement actionablerecommendations based on reviews. Systems Engineersrequireextensive knowledge of thedevelopment process, including specification, documentation, and quality assurance. Because ofthe broad range of demands Systems Engineers must havedemonstratedstrong project planningskills are preferred.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Design, develop, and deploy scalable solutions in ServiceNow aligned with ITIL-based processes.
- Build/maintainmodules and experience with:
- Integration of ITSM, ITOM, HAM/SAM
- User Access Management and Access Review Workflows
- Experience with patching, upgrading/installing plugins
- Interconnectivity of systems and databases
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into effective ServiceNow solutions.
- Implement automated workflows, business rules, and scripts.
- Maintain ServiceNow integrations and ensure platform stability and data integrity.
- Support platform upgrades and release readiness activities.
- Ensure alignment with security, compliance, and audit requirements.
- Produce user documentation and training materials as needed.
- Stay current with ServiceNow innovations and drive adoption of best practices.Performs tier one and two network and systems supportin accordance withthe SIE OPORDand organization MECM standards
- Provides support to systems hosting complex operational databases, software configuration control, MECM infrastructure, and system interfaces for enterprise workstation management.
- Maintains file servers, distribution points, management points, and network access; documents,analyses, and troubleshoots system anomalies to ensureoptimumMECM and system performance.
- Monitors and controls one or more mid-range application servers, including MECM site servers and supporting roles.
- Studies program operating instructions and technical documentation todetermineproper equipment setup, MECM configurations, and operational processes.
- Monitors the operation of MECM applications, software distribution, patch deployments, and storage devices;identifiespoints of hardware or software failure.
- Troubleshoot andconfiguresystemsin accordance withstandard procedures when components of the MECM environment malfunction.
- Maintains operating records such as system logs, distribution reports, deployment results, and performance metrics.
- Coordinates with software systems engineering, application packagers, cybersecurity teams, and developers to correct errors or implement updates within the MECM ecosystem.
- Installs and updates operating system software, patches, feature updates, and cumulative updates using MECM-based deployment methods.
- Analyzes, troubleshoots, and resolves system hardware, software, MECM agent, and networking issuesimpactingclient or server performance.
- Configures,optimizes, fine-tunes, and monitors MECM site components, boundary groups, and content distribution.
- Performs system backups and recovery tasks for MECM site servers and associated infrastructure.
- Conducts server builds and supports the implementation of new MECM roles, distribution points, and site enhancements.
- Troubleshoots issues related to software deployments, operating system deployment (OSD), task sequences, application packaging, and patching workflows.
- Develops, updates, andmaintainsStandard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all MECM-related infrastructure, processes, and operational tasks.
- Studies program operating instructions todetermineequipment setup and operations.
- Monitors the operation of assigned applications and storage devices anddeterminesthe point of hardware or software failure.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Min 12 years with HS Diploma, 10 years with AS/AA degree, 8 years with BS/BA, or 6 years with MS/MA.
- DOD TS/SCI Clearance
- DoDD 8570 01-M IAT II.
- Have a demonstrated ability to communicate exceptionally well both orally and in writing, as well as have a positive customer service attitude.

Highly Desired Qualifications:
- Must be withDoW8140 compliant under the Work Role Code 451 64 Systems Administrator Intermediate- Intermediate level or higher by 1 Oct 26.
- Highly desirable: Microsoft Associate level certification.
Target Salary Range$112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individuals experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
