The PositionLead the site services systems to provide maintenance & services to the facility in a cost-effective manner.
RelationshipsReports to Manager, Site Services.
Essential Functions- Follow all safety & environmental requirements in the performance of duties
- Negotiate & manage all major contracts for services while improving value
- Proactively manage the facility upkeep & respond timely to building maintenance requests
- Manage security contractors to protect critical areas & employee safety
- Participate with spill response & first aid teams
- Manage housekeeping contractors & proactively maintain facility cleanliness
- Manage pest control contractor & program
- Maintain Site Services SharePoint site & records
- Ensure all records are maintained for audit readiness
- Manage all deviations & audit NCs for the Site Services areas of responsibility
- Provide back up support for waste management & fire protection systems
- Other accountabilities, as assigned.
Physical RequirementsMay move equipment &/or supplies weighing up to 33 pounds within the facility using various body positions. May be required to be on your feet for up to a 12-hour shift. May required corrected vision to 20/20 or 20/25 based on role. May require colour vision based on role. May require the ability to work in loud noise environments with hearing protections.
Qualifications- Bachelor's Degree in engineering, business or planning, or equivalent combination of education & experience preferred
- Minimum of 5 years in facilities maintenance including system ownership required
- Minimum of 2 years in negotiations of contracts & contract management required
- Building Maintenance knowledge/experience required
- Knowledge of security systems preferred
- Contract negotiations/contract management required
- Management of various fulltime contractors required
- Basic knowledge of OSHA regulations preferred
- Participation in emergency response teams a plus
- Pharmaceutical experience a plus preferred
- Good communication & writing skills a plus
- Working knowledge of fire detection/suppression/prevention systems preferred
- Able to develop & manage action plans to achieve targets preferred
