Job SummaryAs a member of the Reliability & Production Engineering (RPE) team, the Site Reliability Engineer brings passion for technology to enable efficient operations in a fast-paced environment. This role supports best-in-class services for clients across business units, focusing on production management, system availability, observability, scalability, performance, and resilience. Responsibilities include production support, automation development, and tooling to reduce toil, improve monitoring, and achieve reliability goals.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with engineering teams to design, build, and maintain systems
- Troubleshoot issues across hardware, software, applications, and networks
- Improve automation for deployment, management, and visibility of services
- Identify reliability risks and implement solutions
- Work globally with regional teams on a follow-the-sun basis
- Represent RPE in design reviews and operational readiness exercises
- Provide production support and develop automation/tooling to support SRE activities
- Enhance monitoring and alerting efficiency across systems
Required Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Proficiency with Linux
- Strong experience in database scripting (stored procedures, compound SQL) and data analysis (PostgreSQL, DB2, Snowflake, MongoDB)
- Skills in DB monitoring and performance tuning
- Working experience in Python and Shell scripting
- Strong troubleshooting skills (trend tracking, metrics, analysis)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for global team interaction
- Flexibility to work shifts and perform on-call responsibilities
- Ability to work onsite at least 3 days per week
Preferred Qualifications- Experience in financial services or investment banking
- Familiarity with advanced monitoring tools (Grafana, Loki, Prometheus, Elastic Search)
- Knowledge of development tools such as Git/GitHub and Jenkins
- Agile/DevOps/SRE mindset and tooling experience
- Understanding of cloud technologies
Certifications- None required; cloud, DevOps, or database certifications preferred
