As the Site MS&T Head, you will play a pivotal leadership role in ensuring the technical excellence, robustness, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes that deliver life-changing medicines to patients. Leading a high-performing Manufacturing Science & Technology (MS&T) team, you will drive product stewardship, validation strategy, technology transfers, process optimization, and compliance excellence while partnering across functions to advance innovation, quality, and operational performance at the site.

Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Lead scientific oversight of manufacturing processes to ensure robust, compliant, and reliable product performance.
- Drive product stewardship and technical oversight throughout the commercial lifecycle of site products.
- Own the site Validation Master Plan and ensure execution of validation and revalidation activities.
- Maintain process knowledge, monitor critical process parameters, and sustain validated manufacturing processes.
- Lead technology transfers, technical changes, and commercial scale-up activities in partnership with global teams.
- Serve as the primary technical interface for regulatory authorities and cross-site product-related initiatives.
- Build and develop a high-performing MS&T organization that advances technical excellence, quality, and innovation.
Essential Requirements
- Master of Science degree in Science, Pharmacy, Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Technology, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 6 years experience within pharmaceutical manufacturing; RLT experience preferred.
- Additional specialist experience in pharmaceutical formulation, process development, manufacturing technology, or related technical disciplines is preferred.
- Proven experience driving quality and compliance within an organization.
- Strong working knowledge of applied statistics, quality systems, and regulatory requirements across multiple health authorities.
- Fundamental understanding of standard pharmaceutical analytical testing.
The salary for this position is expected to range between $138,600 and $257,400 per year. The final salary offered is determined based on factors like, but not limited to, relevant skills and experience, and upon joining Novartis will be reviewed periodically. Novartis may change the published salary range based on company and market factors. Your compensation will include a performance-based cash incentive and, depending on the level of the role, eligibility to be considered for annual equity awards.
