Job Description

The Data Center Engineer assists in maintaining the safe operation of electrical and mechanical systems across all data centers. This role supports the authorization and oversight of electrical works, ensuring compliance with Electrical Safety Rules and company standards. The engineer collaborates with staff to provide technical guidance, participate in safety permitting, and uphold operational safety. They are involved in audits, training, and cross-functional teamwork to maintain high safety and compliance standards.

Responsibilities

The Data Center Engineer is responsible for supporting the safe execution of electrical and mechanical work within data centers, working under the guidance of engineers. They help administer and monitor safe systems of work, ensuring all activities comply with established safety rules and procedures. The role involves assisting in the training and assessment of staff and contractors, participating in audits, and contributing to the continuous improvement of safety practices. The engineer works closely with cross-functional teams to address operational challenges, resolve issues, and maintain a safe working environment.
