Full Job Description
The Technical Site & Service Coordination Manager coordinates technicians across multiple construction and operating sites for installation, start-up support, service, and troubleshooting of power generation equipment based on reciprocating internal combustion engine (RICE) systems and associated auxiliaries. The role is responsible for planning and prioritizing work in coordination with the execution team, supporting safe and efficient execution, and ensuring technical issues are resolved in line with customer, quality, and schedule requirements. The position provides technical coordination only and has no disciplinary leadership responsibility. Major Responsibilities: • Coordinate technicians across multiple sites for installation, commissioning support, service, and troubleshooting of RICE-based power generation equipment and auxiliary systems. • Plan work priorities, technician deployment, and site coverage for construction, start-up, and operational support activities. • Ensure safe execution, technical quality, and schedule adherence for engine, generator, balance-of-plant, and auxiliary equipment work. • Coordinate service interventions and troubleshooting for operational equipment, including mechanical, electrical, and controls-related issues. • Support root cause analysis and follow-up actions for technical issues and repeat failures. • Act as the main technical interface between technicians, project & service teams, customers, and site stakeholders. • Ensure tools, materials, spare parts, and technical documentation are available. • Provide daily reporting on site activities, progress, issues, and resource needs. • Track progress, resolve issues, and escalate technical or schedule risks as needed. • Provide day-to-day technical guidance without formal disciplinary responsibility. Minimum Job Requirements: • Bachelor's degree Mechanical, electrical, mechatronic, industrial engineering or a similar field • 7 years' experience in installation, commissioning, service, or maintenance of power generation equipment, ideally with reciprocating internal combustion engine (RICE) systems. • 3 years' experience coordinating technicians or small site teams, ideally across multiple construction or operating sites. Knowledge / Skills / Abilities • Knowledge of LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) and safe work practices for installation, commissioning, and service activities. • Strong troubleshooting, planning, and coordination skills across mechanical, electrical, and controls topics. • Good communication skills • Microsoft product proficient including excel, powerpoint, etc. • Smartsheet proficient • Ability to travel as required. • Knowledge of all commissioning safety requirements • Ability to be pro-active and drive for success Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. On occasion, the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend, or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
