Full Job Description
Become our full-time Shop Manager - Heavy-Duty Fleet Operations and take true ownership of a growth-focused shop in Phoenix, AZ.
This role requires hands-on experience managing repairs and maintenance on semi trucks and/or trailers. Please only apply if you have this background.
WHAT ARE THE HOURS?
This Shop Manager role is built for leaders who focus on outcomes, not timecards. You'll typically work Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm, with the flexibility to step in during occasional weekends and when high-priority fleet partners call for leadership presence.
WHAT DOES YOUR DAY ENTAIL?
In a shop our size, leadership isn't a desk job - it's driving throughput and setting the standard from the bay to the front desk. You'll guide our technicians through complex diagnostics, jump in on repairs when needed, and handle service advising that builds lasting fleet partnerships. You'll actively manage performance by watching the numbers that drive profitability - labor efficiency, billable hours, parts costs - and adjust day-to-day operations accordingly, since your earnings are directly tied to how well the shop performs. You'll also help build the blueprint: refining workflow, parts logistics, and fleet maintenance software, and playing a lead role in recruiting and onboarding technicians as we grow.
IS THIS THE OPPORTUNITY FOR YOU?
You have hands-on experience managing repairs and maintenance on semi trucks and/or trailers
You're comfortable splitting your time between hands-on shop work and leadership/strategy
You excel where accountability, structure, and leadership intersect
You want your paycheck tied to your results, not capped by a flat salary
You approach operations with ownership, pride, and a long-term vision
Preferred qualifications:
ASE certification(s) in Medium/Heavy Truck repair (T-series) and/or Management (AMAM) or Service Consultant (C1)
Relevant hands-on experience with semi trucks and/or trailers will be considered in place of formal certification
