Full Job Description
We are looking for a Shipping Supervisor. This position will be based in Wendell, NC.

Reporting to the Plant Logistics Manager, the Shipping Supervisor will lead the shipping activities at the new Siemens PACS plant in Wendell, NC.

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with shipping processes for domestic and international shipment, and compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
  • Maintain shipping staff job results by training, measuring, monitoring, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees
  • Ensure good condition of facility/equipment through regular audit and implementation of preventative maintenance protocols
  • Respond timely and professionally to customer complaints and inquiries
  • Conduct short and mid-term capacity planning to ensure labor and equipment resources are balanced with demand
  • Ensure shipping staffing needs through recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
  • Monitor shipping workflow indicators and respond to exceptions
  • Troubleshooting complex inventory and shipping errors. Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
  • Guide and manage the process of packing and shipping product to customers
  • Collaborate across departments to ensure efficient workflow and positive working relationships among teams
  • Conduct training for employees on all aspects of job performance including safety, quality, business processes, and HR policies

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or related discipline
  • 3-5 years of leadership experience in a high volume shipping operation
  • Experience in areas such as Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Distribution or other related manufacturing functions
  • Experience with warehouse management systems
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications including Outlook, Word, Power Point, and Excel
  • Experience with operating and maintaining a variety of warehouse material handling equipment

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with SAP WM module
  • Experience with warehouse scanning equipment and applications

The pay range for this position is $61,547 - $105,509 annually. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
