NOTE: Rotating 12-hour shift, Monday – Thursday, 6 am – 6 pm

Take the next step in your Novartis career and help shape the success of our Indianapolis manufacturing operations. As Shipping and Receiving Lead, you will play a key role in supporting the flow of materials across our Radioligand Therapy (RLT) site, ensuring inventory, shipping, receiving, and production support activities are executed safely, accurately, and compliantly. This position offers the opportunity to expand your leadership experience, partner across multiple functions, and contribute directly to operational excellence, supply chain performance, and the reliable delivery of innovative RLT therapies to patients.


Job Description

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead daily shipping, receiving, inventory, and material movement activities across the Indianapolis RLT site.
  • Ensure accurate and timely data entry for GxP documents and ERP transactions.
  • Coordinate material staging and kitting activities to support manufacturing operations and production schedules.
  • Load and unload trucks using industrial equipment and transfer material to proper storage areas.
  • Oversee inventory accuracy through periodic inventory counts, reconciliations, and compliant material disposition processes.
  • Verify materials, labels, and documentation for accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance.
  • Support quality, safety, and continuous improvement initiatives through cross-functional collaboration and project participation.
  • Serve as a team lead and escalation point while promoting safety, operational excellence, and customer service.

Essential Requirements
  • Bachelors degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Science, Business, or related field; or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience required, including 2 years of experience in warehousing, distribution, manufacturing, or supply chain operations.
  • Experience working in a regulated manufacturing environment with strong quality and compliance expectations.
  • Knowledge of inventory management systems, material control processes, and warehouse operations.
  • Strong leadership, collaboration, and problem-solving skills with a customer-focused mindset.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule supporting 24x7 manufacturing operation.

Desirable Requirements
  • Hazardous materials or dangerous goods shipping experience.
  • Previous team lead or supervisory experience within warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing operations.

The salary for this position is expected to range between $85,400 and $158,600 per year. The final salary offered is determined based on factors like, but not limited to, relevant skills and experience, and upon joining Novartis will be reviewed periodically. Novartis may change the published salary range based on company and market factors. Your compensation will include a performance-based cash incentive and, depending on the level of the role, eligibility to be considered for annual equity awards. US-based eligible employees will receive a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, life and disability benefits, a 401(k) with company contribution and match, and a variety of other benefits. In addition, employees are eligible for a generous time off package including vacation, personal days, holidays and other leaves.
