Full Job Description
Siemens Digital Industries Software is seeking an expert and initiative-taking individual for a position as a Services Project Manager within our America's GCO PMO organization. As a PMO you will lead large projects with numerous project delivery teams, assisting our customers in realizing the value of Digital Thread solutions. You will establish and communicate clear project priorities and activities to ensure effective project management. This role serves as the primary point of contact to align the customer, stakeholders, and Siemens delivery teams.

About the job:

As part of a Professional Services team, you will collaborate efficiently with Consultants, Architects, Project Managers, Product Development, and other internal & external interfaces to ensure that the customer succeeds in their objectives, acting as the key point of contact for the project aligning Sales, Presales, Engagement Management, Services Management and the customer for the project.

You will manage services projects consisting of related services projects or lead multiple unrelated services projects driving customers value realization and business outcomes.

You will execute lead and manage the setup of the project through delivery of the new capabilities and realization of the project(s) within the defined targeted outcomes, such as budget, schedule, scope and quality, while ensuring customer satisfaction.

This position requires excellent interpersonal skills, leadership skills, process improvement skills, and organizational and finance acumen.

Responsibilities:
  • Drive Value Realization
    • Work with Sales Account Manager and Engagement Management to understand the Value identification and planning processes
    • Within the constraints of the contract, understand the anticipated value the project should bring the customer
    • Align the project schedule with solution releases and value realization plan
    • Communicate the value of the project and its context within a program
    • Work with Sales, Services Management and Program Manager, if any, to drive Customers to realize value from Digital Enterprise Solutions
    • Identify and create additional opportunities out of the ongoing project and feed those to the Program- and/or Engagement Management
    • Drive the project team and Customer to implement a solution that allows the customer to realize the value
    • Collaborate with the customer to ensure agreed KPI's are traced and met
  • Initiate and Execute a Program Structure and Governance Model
    • Work with Sales, Services Management and any Program Manager to initiate, review and agree to a project governance model with the customer
    • Execute the project governance model in close cooperation with the customer
    • Define and agree with the project roles and responsibilities with the customer
    • Together with Sales Account Manager, conduct stakeholder management through systematic identification, analysis and planning actions to negotiate with and influence stakeholders
    • Work with Sales, Services Management and Program Manager, if any, to setup all required processes in alignment with all stakeholders including appropriate communication on all levels
  • Manage the Project throughout the Project life cycle leveraging Siemens Delivery Framework
    • Review the contract and derive actions concerning risks, opportunities and contractual obligations
    • Proactively monitor the project's overall progress, resolve issues and initiate corrective and preventive action as appropriate
    • Manage customer requirements and project scope to achieve project objectives
    • Perform project risk management including planning, identification, analysis, response planning and controlling
    • Manage and resolve issues with all necessary internal and external partners
    • Enforce project change management process
    • Manage the project schedule to ensure on-time delivery
    • Ensure the planned project communications on all levels including escalation procedures and project progress reporting
    • Perform quality management and manage compliance with standards, rules and regulations
    • Follow the procurement processes
    • Perform project reviews and retrospectives regularly and feed the results and lessons learned to the project and organization
  • Manage the Project Team
    • Agree targets with project staff and delegate defines responsibilities and authority
    • Actively seek and provide feedback from project team members, managers and customers
    • Support team-members' personal development
    • Involve the project and project team in the identification and management of changes
    • Work with Services Management and Procurement Manager to manager business partners and subcontractors
  • Manage Project Financials
    • Deliver the project to the approved budget and agreed margin
    • Regularly reviews and manages the project budget
    • Measure project performance and provide regularly as required a realistic project forecast
    • Incorporate project risks from risk assessments into project budget
    • Work with services administration to ensure accurate billing and revenue recognition for the project
    • Identify and minimize non-conformance costs in the project
  • Project Leadership
    • Lead and own the project and encourage strategic decision making
    • Together with Sales Account Manager and Engagement Management, set and realign stakeholder expectations
    • Actively build relationships with stakeholders
    • Together with Services Management and Program Management, build, inspire and motivate an effective team
    • Ensure the team members have the materials and equipment to complete their tasks
  • Firm Building Leadership
    • Contribute to firm building activities such as; delivery of training, development of training content, best practice development and sharing experiences
    • Contribute to continuous improvement based on lessons learned from the project
    • Support improvement initiative in the project, any program and organization
  • General
    • Support the organizational culture, values and reputation in company markets and with all staff, customers, suppliers, partners and regulatory/official bodies
    • Willing and available to work the core hours required by DISW or specified by the customer project, respecting local country legislation and company policies
  • Must be open to an average of 50% travel to west coast-based customer locations.

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Technology, or an equivalent level of knowledge in PLM
  • Multiple years of experience as a Project Manager for Siemens solutions or comparable enterprise solutions, such as Enovia, 3DEXPERIENCE, Windchill, Aras Innovator, or Agile
  • Previous leadership experience with Enterprise PLM, ERP, or MES implementations with project budgets over $1M US
  • Experience leading a group of professional architects and consultants during software implementation to achieve results
  • Multiple years of team-leading experience in a customer-facing environment
  • Communicate with a high degree of creativity, self-confidence, and persuasiveness
  • An initiative-taker with excellent communication skills at all levels throughout an organization
  • Have a style characterized by an elevated level of integrity and trust based on ethics and Siemens values
  • Results-oriented, organized, highly motivated, and detail-oriented with an elevated level of energy/high sense of urgency
  • Agile Practitioner and/or Scrum Master certification and prior experience (SAFe preferred)

The pay range for this position is $125,300 - $250,600 annually with a target incentive of 10% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
