Description

We are seeking a skilled ServiceNow Test Engineer to join our team supporting federal government clients. The ServiceNow Test Engineer will be responsible for validating the quality, functionality, and reliability of ServiceNow applications throughout the development lifecycle. This role works closely with developers, business analysts, architects, and product owners to translate requirements and acceptance criteria into comprehensive test scenarios, identify and track defects, and ensure solutions are ready for production deployment. The ideal candidate has hands-on ServiceNow testing experience and a strong understanding of both manual and automated testing practices.

REQUIREMENTS
  • Test Planning & Execution: Develop, document, and execute test plans, test cases, test scripts, and test scenarios based on business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Functional Testing: Perform functional, system, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing across ServiceNow applications and workflows.
  • ServiceNow Testing: Validate ServiceNow configurations and functionality across modules such as ITSM, ITAM, ITOM, WSD, Employee Center Pro, SPM, IRM, and SecOps.
  • Automated Testing: Develop, execute, and maintain automated test cases using ServiceNow Automated Test Framework (ATF).
  • Defect Management: Identify, document, track, retest, and validate defects through resolution while partnering closely with development teams.
  • UAT Support: Support User Acceptance Testing by developing test scripts, coordinating testing activities, assisting business users, and documenting results.
  • Workflow & Configuration Validation: Test workflows, Flow Designer flows, approvals, notifications, business rules, Service Catalog functionality, and other platform configurations.
  • Integration & Data Testing: Validate ServiceNow integrations, APIs, data imports, data transformations, and system interfaces.
  • Regression Testing: Perform regression testing to ensure new enhancements, configurations, and releases do not negatively impact existing functionality.
  • Release Validation: Support testing across DEV, TEST/UAT, and production release cycles and provide test results to support deployment readiness.
  • Agile Delivery: Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, defect triage, and retrospectives.
  • Testing Documentation: Maintain clear traceability between requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, test cases, defects, and test results.

SKILLS & ABILITIES
  • ServiceNow Experience: 3+ years of experience working with and testing applications within the ServiceNow ecosystem.
  • Testing Experience: Demonstrated experience with functional, regression, integration, system, and UAT testing.
  • ServiceNow ATF: Hands-on experience with ServiceNow Automated Test Framework (ATF) strongly preferred.
  • Agile/Scrum: Experience working within Agile/Scrum delivery teams and testing functionality within sprint-based development cycles.
  • Technical Understanding: Working knowledge of ServiceNow workflows, Flow Designer, Service Catalog, Business Rules, integrations, APIs, and platform configurations.
  • Defect Management: Experience documenting and managing defects using tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify, troubleshoot, document, and communicate system issues.
  • Communication: Ability to work effectively with technical teams, business stakeholders, and federal clients.
  • ServiceNow Modules: ITSM, WSD, ITAM, ITOM, Employee Center Pro, SPM, IRM, SecOps.

EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field
  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) preferred
  • ServiceNow testing/ATF training or certification is a plus
  • U.S. Citizenship is required
  • Active Public Trust clearance or the ability to obtain one
