Full Job Description
Summary:

The ServiceNow CMDB Data Manager is responsible for managing, maintaining and ensuring the health of the CMDB (configuration management database) within the ServiceNow platform. This involves utilizing monitoring dashboards and any other relevant tools daily to analyze and identify data trends for data correctness. Successful utilization of the CMDB is a continuous, ongoing effort.

***Pay Range: $94,073 - $123,780 - $160,914***

***Retention Bonus: $1500***

Responsibilities:
  • Establish and enforce data governance standards, ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and consistency within the CMDB. This includes defining CI (Configuration Item) types, relationships, naming conventions, and data quality rules.
  • Designing and implementing the CMDB structure, including defining processes for CI discovery, classification, and relationship management.
  • Oversee the ongoing maintenance and improvement of the CMDB, ensuring it remains accurate, up-to-date, and relevant to the organization's needs. This involves implementing automated processes for data updates, resolving data discrepancies, and refining the CMDB structure based on feedback and usage trends.
  • Generates reports on asset utilization, cost optimization, and CMDB health to inform decision-making.
  • Implement and maintain a comprehensive asset lifecycle management strategy. Ensure assets are tracked from acquisition through disposal.
  • Collaborate as needed with IT stakeholders and vendors to ensure the CMDB meets their needs and supports their workflows. Communicate effectively regarding CMDB best practices, data quality, and usage trends.
  • Oversee the configuration, customization, and development of ServiceNow workflows and scripts.
  • Create detailed functional and technical design specifications that align with the NTTA's short- and long-term needs and leverage the capabilities of the ServiceNow platform and integration with third-party technologies effectively.
  • Act as a trusted advisor, providing expert guidance on ServiceNow capabilities, customization options, and best practices.
  • Identify potential challenges and propose innovative solutions to address them.
  • Conduct performance analysis and optimizations to enhance the overall efficiency and responsiveness of ServiceNow and integrated solutions.
  • Work closely with project managers to keep projects within scope and timeline.
  • Ensure that all ServiceNow and integrated solutions adhere to security best practices and compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate with security teams to implement robust security measures and maintain a secure environment.
  • Contribute to the knowledge base and share best practices within the team and the Practice.
  • Stay updated on the latest advancements in ServiceNow and integrated technologies, tools, and industry trends.
  • Continuously enhance your expertise to provide innovative solutions and approaches.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with the business through effective communication, understanding their needs, and delivering high-quality solutions that exceed their expectations.
Qualifications:

Minimum:
  • Bachelor's degree in any field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 4+ years of combined experience in the design, development, and implementation of ServiceNow solutions and integrations, including ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, CMDB, and other modules as required with 1+ year experience working with ServiceNow's GenAI model Now Assist.
  • ServiceNow CSA - Certified System Administrator, or ability to obtain within 6 months.
Preferred:
  • Bachelor's degree in business management or information systems.
  • ServiceNow CIS-CMDB - Certified Implementation Specialist: CMDB
  • ServiceNow CIS-Discovery - Certified Implementation Specialist: Discovery
  • ServiceNow CIS-ITOM - Certified Implementation Specialist: IT Operations Management
  • ServiceNow CAD - Certified Application Developer
  • ITIL Foundation or ITIL 4 Specialist certification.
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office 365 suite including Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Proficient in SQL queries.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent leadership and project management abilities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong understanding of ITIL, ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, and business processes.
  • PMP or Certified Scrum Master
