Full Job Description
This position reports to:
Director of Operations

We are seeking a high-impact Service Project Manager to take ownership of critical service projects supporting complex Medium Voltage (MV) and Low Voltage (LV) drive systems, Motors & Generators, modernization and retrofit projects, and service agreements across the United States and internationally.

As a Service Project Manager, you will have full project accountability from Sales Handover through project completion, ensuring projects are executed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction.

This is a highly visible role requiring strong leadership, commercial awareness, technical understanding, and the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders in a demanding service environment.

The work model for the role is: Hybrid in Houston, TX or New Berlin, WI

Your role and responsibilities:
  • Lead the end-to-end execution of Motion Service projects, including:
    • Medium Voltage and Low Voltage Drives
    • Motors and Generators
    • Modernization and retrofit projects
    • Service agreements and long-term service programs
  • Take end-to-end responsibility for project execution from Sales Handover through completion, including schedule, financial performance, risks, quality, HSE, and contractual obligations in accordance with the Project Management Framework.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams and external partners to ensure timely delivery of project scope and milestones, while proactively managing risks, opportunities, scope changes, schedule variations, and contractual requirements.
  • Establish and foster customer and stakeholder relationships throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring clear communication, aligned expectations, professional issue resolution, and a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Drive project financial performance and continuous improvement, including cost and margin control, invoicing, forecasting, project reporting, and improvement of project management processes and ways of working

Qualifications for the role:
  • Bachelor's degree and 5+ years or relevant experience in industrial service/project execution.
  • Experience in project management within industries such as Oil & Gas, Marine, Mining, Pulp & Paper, Energy, or Power Generation.
  • Experience with Drives, Motors & Generators, electrical equipment, or industrial systems is a strong plus.
  • PMP certification is a plus.
  • Strong commercial, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven experience managing customers, project schedules, scope changes, risks, and contractual variations.
  • Candidates must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
