Job Overview

Lead the service department to ensure maximum profit and customer satisfaction. Manage the department to achieve operation goals. This person will play a critical role in overseeing shop and field repairs, services, maintenance of equipment, and directs the troubleshooting, inspection, repair, and testing of equipment. This position is based out of our Laurel, DE location.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Ensure the safety of the employee and work environment.
  • Develop and execute plans to achieve department goals for quality and efficiency.
  • Manage accounts receivables as defined in business plan as well as manage the service department to operate within the guidelines set by our policies and procedure.
  • Lead daily operations of the service department, including scheduling, workflow management, technician development, monitoring KPIs, etc.
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate technicians to build a high-performing service team.
  • Work with factory representatives to ensure warranty factory campaigns are completed.
  • Manages work orders and oversees the ordering of necessary parts and materials, and provides all pertinent information for closing of work orders and invoicing within company policy.
  • Maintains constant communication with Customers by providing repair estimates, change recommendations, scheduling, and completion dates, and obtains customer approval for all the above.
  • Provides repair estimates, change recommendations, scheduling, and completion dates services and obtains approval for all the above for the Sales Dept. Oversees the receiving, delivery, & maintenance (on arrival) condition of all rental units.
  • Communicates and schedules with Outside Vendors, Manufacturer Personnel, etc. concerning repairs, services, maintenance of Equipment and Branch.
  • Has responsibility for maintaining failed parts removed from all machines -customer, internal, or warranty repairs within company guidelines.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications/Requirements

  • High school degree & some college preferred.
  • Construction equipment and industry knowledge.
  • Some excavating and grading knowledge.
  • Knowledge of software and technology applications preferred.


Hiring Range

At Komatsu, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. This role pays $90,000-100,000. The actual offer will consider a wide range of factors, including experience and location.
