Position SummaryThe Service Director leads the daily operations of the Service, Parts, and Marina departments within a high-volume marine dealership. Reporting directly to the General Manager, this role is responsible for driving operational excellence, team development, financial performance, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement across all fixed operations.
This position requires a hands-on, results-oriented leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, develops high-performance teams, and creates a scalable operational process that improves efficiency, profitability, and the overall customer experience.
Primary ResponsibilitiesOperational Leadership- Lead the daily operations of the Service, Parts, and Marina departments while maintaining alignment with dealership goals and customer expectations.
- Create and execute operational strategies that improve efficiency, communication, productivity, and profitability.
- Develop and refine Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and cross-functional department processes.
- Conduct daily operational meetings to review workloads, staffing, priorities, bottlenecks, and customer commitments.
- Quickly identify operational issues and implement corrective action plans.
- Drive a culture centered on accountability, urgency, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Requirements
Qualifications- 5-10 years of progressive leadership experience in marine, automotive, RV, powersports, heavy equipment, or a similar dealership environment.
- Proven success managing high-volume service and fixed operations.
- Strong understanding of technician productivity, parts operations, inventory management, and marina operations.
- Experience leading multiple departments and developing managers.
- Demonstrated ability to improve operational processes using KPIs and performance metrics.
- Strong financial and analytical skills.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational abilities.
- Proficiency with dealership management systems (DMS)
