DescriptionNorthrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a
Structural/Principal Structural Engineer to do Dynamic Environments statement of work. This position is located in
Roy, Utah and supports the Sentinel Program. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
Basic Qualifications:This position can be filled at the Structural Engineer (T2) or Principal Structural Engineer (T3) levelStructural Engineer: 2 Years with Bachelors in Science; 1 year with Masters.
- Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance with an investigation date within the last 6 years.
- Must be able to be successfully screened for Enhanced Security Clearances, within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs.
- Knowledge and/or experience with structural dynamics analysis of spacecraft, aircraft, or missiles.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with adjacent disciplines (e.g. systems engineering, aerodynamics, stress analysis, design, test) in a highly integrated team environment.
- Experience in programming and use of MATLAB (or equivalent) for analysis and data manipulation.
- Experience running modal transient analysis in Nastran (or equivalent).
- Experience with launch vehicle and/or spacecraft vibroacoustic analysis.
Principal Structural Engineer: 5 Years with Bachelors in Science; 3 Years with Masters; 1 Year with PhD.
- Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance with an investigation date within the last 6 years.
- Must be able to be successfully screened for Enhanced Security Clearances, within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs.
- Knowledge and/or experience with structural dynamics analysis of spacecraft, aircraft, or missiles.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with adjacent disciplines (e.g. systems engineering, aerodynamics, stress analysis, design, test) in a highly integrated team environment.
- Experience in programming and use of MATLAB (or equivalent) for analysis and data manipulation.

Preferred Qualifications: - Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering/Structural Mechanics or Aerospace Engineering or equivalent from an accredited college/university.
- Experience working strategic or tactical missile programs.
- Experience in the planning and execution of vibration, acoustic, modal, and shock tests for aerospace flight hardware.
- Experience with Vibroacoustic tools and/or SEA tools such as Wave6 or VA One.
- Experience with time domain, frequency domain, and/or random vibration analysis.
- DoD Secret Clearance (or higher).
Primary Level Salary Range: $77,200.00 - $115,800.00
Secondary Level Salary Range: $95,300.00 - $142,900.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
