Full Job Description
The Opportunity
We're seeking an outstanding Web Engineer to join Adobe's Firefly Boards team within the Firefly Generative AI organization. In this role, you will own and drive how Firefly Boards interoperates with Adobe's broader creative ecosystem, helping transform Boards into a connected platform at the center of next-generation creative workflows. You will work across multiple Adobe products and platforms, building integrations that enable creators to seamlessly move ideas, assets, and workflows between Boards and the applications they use every day. This includes collaboration with teams across Firefly Studio, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, Frame.io, Express, Projects, Assets, and
Adobe's emerging 3D experiences.
As part of a highly collaborative engineering team, you will design and build scalable platform services, APIs, workflows, and user experiences that connect Boards to Adobe's ecosystem while enabling agentic and AI-powered creative workflows powered by
Firefly technologies.
About Firefly Boards
Firefly Boards is Adobe's infinite, collaborative, multi-asset creative canvas designed for ideation, exploration, and content development. Unlike traditional linear creative
workflows, Boards brings together images, videos, text, AI-generated content, and creative assets in a shared workspace where ideas can evolve naturally and
collaboratively. Deeply integrated with Adobe Firefly and Creative Cloud, Boards is evolving into a core product that connects creative workflows across Adobe's ecosystem.
What You'll Impact
Build and maintain integrations between Firefly Boards and Adobe creative
applications including Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, Express, Frame.io,
and other Creative Cloud products.
Develop seamless round-tripping workflows that enable assets and projects to
move fluidly between Boards and desktop applications.
Partner with product and engineering teams across Adobe to define interoperable
creative workflows.
Build scalable APIs, services, and front-end experiences supporting ecosystem-
wide integrations.
Improve reliability, performance, security, and scalability of cross-product
workflows.
Establish engineering patterns and architecture that enable rapid integration with
future Adobe products and service
Ideal Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science
Significant experience building production web or full-stack applications, with
meaningful ownership of systems you've shipped and operated
Proficient in TypeScript and JavaScript, and comfortable across the stack: a
modern declarative UI framework (React, Lit, Vue) on the front end and a server-
side language for the services behind it
Track record of designing and growing APIs or integration contracts between
systems, especially across boundaries you don't fully control. You've shipped an
interface, lived with it, and learned what to commit to and what to leave open
Experience building integrations or interoperability between separate products or
platforms: moving data, assets, or state cleanly across systems with different
models and constraints
Comfortable driving technical work across team and org boundaries, integrating
against teams that ship on their own timelines and partnering to define contracts
that don't fully exist yet
History of writing clean, testable code and building components other engineers
extend
Strong written and verbal communication, able to shape technical decisions in
cross-team forums
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with creative, media, or asset-heavy applications (image, video,
multimedia)
Familiarity with agentic or AI-powered workflows, or building user experiences
on top of LLMs
Experience with round-tripping or file-format interoperability between web and
desktop applications
Experience integrating with Adobe Creative Cloud products or comparable
creative-tool ecosystems
Experience improving reliability, performance, and security of cross-product
workflows at scale
Experience with development tools such as Jenkins, GitHub, lint, etc.
Experience with Accessibility (A11y)
Experience with Localization
